Supporting DoddieAid 2024 (Jan 2024)

DoddieAid is a mass-participation event to raise funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which invests in research to find treatments for motor neuron disease (MND). Founded by former Scotland rugby captain, Rob Wainwright, DoddieAid lasts for 5 weeks from 1 January 2024 and encourages participants to walk, run, cycle, swim or row as many miles as possible. Over the last 3 years, the event has seen almost 80,000 participants cover 8 million miles and raise over £4 million pounds for the Foundation.

Join the thousands who have download the app to discover all sorts of exciting DoddieAid features: log your miles; check out the unique DoddieAid merchandise; and keep up with the latest event and team news and social media via the updates section.

You can also create or join a league. This lets you check out your efforts against those of your friends, family, and colleagues – ideal if you’re looking for that little bit of extra motivation to get moving this January.

When you sign-up and donate £20 to DoddieAid, you can choose a distinct team snood. Pefect for cold days on the bike, walking the dog or out running.

Genius Brewing has supported DoddieAid since it began in 2021, donating prizes and ‘thank yous’ to fundraisers and organisers across the UK. This year, we will once again donate our Gen!us light craft beers and cool Genius Brewing merch to those fundraisers going the extra mile or just doing their way!

DoddieAid is a fantastic way to start the year. A way to get out, blow away the cobwebs, burn the Xmas calories and help raise funds for a great cause. Check out the DoddieAid website for all the events, both virtual and in person.
