Gen!us IPA up for Awards (July 2023)

Gen!us IPA has been short-listed for the ‘Healthier Choice’ category at this year’s Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards. Celebrating the best of Scotland’s exceptional food and drink, the awards shine a light on the finest Scottish producers whilst supporting the next wave of innovation and creativity. The expert judging panel, composed of key buyers, influencers, and chefs, tasted a range of products from both new start-ups and industry giants.

The Healthier Choice category was judged by the expert scientists of Aberdeen University's Rowett Institute who specialise in food science and health. Gen!us IPA is a lower ABV, low calorie craft beer with zero sugar. It offers beer drinkers a great tasting craft beer with low alcohol and less calories than traditional IPAs. Gen!us IPA is the only alcohol product to make the Healthier Choice shortlist.

Gen!us IPA is brewed to 3% ABV and 79 calories. - 40% less than many IPAs. One 330ml can of Gen!us IPA is exactly 1 unit of alcohol. This helps consumers keep track of their alcohol intake and stay within the Chief Medical Officers’ recommended limit of 14 units per week.
